Noise abated Cooling Towers

Overview

The noise generated in a Cooling Tower is mainly due to the fan and the water flowing through the tower into the basin. The main remedy concerning the noise generated by the fans consists of the selection and deployment of low noise or ultra-low noise fans whereas to prevent the noise caused by the water falling, VIRIDIS has engineered a floating noise attenuation system to be installed into the basin.

Typically, in the design phase of the Cooling Tower, further engineering solutions to noise abatement may foresee customized noise control measures such as inlet silencers, outlet silencers, and sound proofing boxes encapsulating the motors.

Features & Benefits

  • Low noise

Noise generated can be reduced to meet standards and regulations for the lowest possible noise level.
